Dr. Eileen Yue-Ling Han, PhD, LAc is a board-certified acupuncturist with a lifetime of extensive training and practice in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Born and raised in Taiwan, the heart of TCM, Dr. Eileen benefited early on from a working education with the best practitioners. During 15 years of immersion in her family’s acupuncture needle and TCM supplies business, Dr. Eileen also received invaluable practical experience that served as the foundation for her work today.

In 1999, Dr. Eileen began her medical studies and an apprenticeship with Dr. Richard Tan, the internationally renowned author and leader of the unique Balance Method. As a student, she honed her focus in internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, traumatology, and external medicine. During this time, she also received essential training in Western medicine and practice management.

Now a renowned practitioner of the Balance Method, Dr. Eileen delivers reliable and effective treatment for patients with a broad range of healthcare concerns. Her areas of expertise include:

In her quest to elevate the quality and results of acupuncture worldwide, Dr. Eileen regularly teaches throughout the US and internationally. In the past 2 years, she has taught Balance Method Acupuncture in New York, NY; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; Charlotte, NC; Paris, France; Barcelona, Spain; Antwerp, Belgium; Beijing, China; Shenzhen, China; Hong Kong, China; and Shanghai, China. She has also led seminars in the Four Levels of Three Essentials Ba Zi in Paris, France.

Dr. Eileen holds a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from the University of East/West Medicine in Sunnyvale, CA. She has also completed a PhD in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from American Liberty University in Newport Beach, CA.

She supplements her formal and practical education with continuing studies in herbology and Chinese face reading to bring a truly holistic approach to treating patients.

Dr. Lindsay Trottier, DACM, LAc

Dr. Lindsay Trottier, LAc, DACM is a California Acupuncture Board Licensed Acupuncturist and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Lindsay has over ten years of experience in the clinical acupuncture setting. She first entered the profession of health and wellness as a certified personal trainer and then worked as a receptionist and medical biller in an acupuncture clinic. Here she was introduced to the Balance Method and Eileen Han. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she was inspired to begin her training in acupuncture and herbal medicine. In 2015, Dr. Lindsay began an apprenticeship with Eileen Han to extend her clinical knowledge and skills.

Dr. Lindsay has experience helping patients of all ages with sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, digestive complaints, women’s health issues, pre- and post-natal care, cancer treatment side effects, mental-emotional health, and people with developmental disabilities.

Her training includes working with NCAA athletes at the UCSD RIMAC center in accordance with athletic trainers, supporting patients undergoing treatment for various cancers at the UCSD Cancer Center in Encinitas, and caring for children admitted to the Helen Bernardy Center for Medically Fragile Children. She has worked with adult patients with congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, and acquired conditions outside of her private practice.

Dr. Lindsay completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at San Diego State University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine and Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Lorena Lee, DAOM, LAc

Dr. Lorena Lee descends from a long lineage of Chinese herbalists, but was initially drawn to a career in finance until her acupuncturist encouraged her to pursue a path that focused on improving the health and wellbeing of others.

After completing her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Lee apprenticed with Matt Callison, LAc, an internationally renowned specialist in Sports Medicine Acupuncture. To further her focus in orthopedic medicine, she interned at the UCSD RIMAC Center where she treated NCAA athletes, and facilitated a partnership with their trainers to integrate eastern and western sports medicine.

Dr. Lee holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) and an M.S. degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She is also a Certified Chinese Herbal Practitioner, a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in both California and New York, and a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT). A lifelong learner, Dr. Lee actively pursues extended training and educational opportunities. In her spare time, she volunteers with Healer2healer and global clinic organizations, which provide healthcare to indigenous international populations.

Cindy Trang, LAc

Cindy Trang, LAc is a board-certified acupuncturist currently assisting in clinic operations while she gains knowledge and experience in office management. Additionally, Cindy shadows Eileen in the clinic, learning practical acupuncture methodology and how to use acupuncture tracking software to improve the level of patient care.

Cindy’s interest in acupuncture began shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree in psychology. As she was considering possible career paths, Cindy saw a documentary about the effect of medication on children with ADD and ADHD which triggered her to contemplate alternatives to treating mental health concerns. Once she discovered how acupuncture could make a significant clinical difference without pharmaceutical intervention, Cindy immediately enrolled in coursework to become a certified acupuncturist.

Now board certified, Cindy is eager to help as many patients as possible with a variety of conditions and issues. She is especially interested in women’s health, particularly dysmenorrhea; she credits acupuncture for helping her personally manage this distressing condition on an ongoing basis. Additionally, Cindy is intrigued with how emotional health affects the entire body and can be treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine. She hopes to be able to help patients manage their stress and anger, which often manifest as other ailments.

Cindy holds a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and has been certified to practice acupuncture since June 2017. She also earned a BA in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego in 2012. Her professional goals are to eventually build her own acupuncture practice and return to school to receive a Doctorate degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine.

Shant Baboujian, LAc, DAOM

A devoted and exclusive Balance Method acupuncturist for the past 5 years, Dr. Baboujian apprentices weekly with Dr. Eileen Yue-Ling Han in the San Diego clinic, in addition to treating patients in his San Pedro, CA practice.

“Passionate” does not begin to describe Dr. Baboujian’s enthusiasm for Chinese Medicine. In his early scholastic years, he pursued neuroscience and molecular biology research but was disappointed by its incapacity to unravel Chinese medicine. Now, his favorite part of the day is seeing the “shock-and-awe” when a patient experiences the instant results of acupuncture.

Dr. Baboujian loves to keep busy, participating in humanitarian expeditions, assisting at Balance Method training seminars for the Academy of Acupuncture, reading, and staying active through multiple forms of fitness. Above all, Shant loves to infuse laughter whenever possible to connect with this essential quality that connects every living being.
